Bhagat Singh – Childhood and Family
On 27 September 1907, this great revolutionary took birth at Banga in Lyallpur district. His parents were Kishan Singh and Vidhya Vati. As the family background of Bhagat Singh was full of Patriotism, this is the one of the main reason that from his early childhood that passion to do something for his country was seen in his eyes, in his actions. When he took birth in this land, his father was in prison. Instead of losing all hopes he was supporting his mother and whole family. This little boy dreamt a lot for his country and was very much passionate about it too. There were many people in his family who were also a great freedom fighter like his father Kishan Singh himself and his uncle, Sardaar Ajit Singh who gave sacrificed their all happiness in order to give freedom to our country. Bhagat Singh used to notice all the little things in his family and surroundings. He was not like other children. He was different from all. At the age of playing he used to think how to support his father in order to get the freedom for our India. Children of his age had different dreams like someone wanted to be a police man, someone wanted to be a doctor but his one and only dream was to do something for his country. If we talk about the sacrifices done by Bhagat Singh for our country then surely we will have the shortage of words. And because of his enthusiasm towards our country, he was considered as one of the best and most brave revolutionaries of Indian Nationalist Movement.
We just remember these freedom fighters only on their birthdates but instead of this we should remember them each and every day of lives and we should learn from these revolutionaries how to do sacrifice for the someone we love.
This 23 March, the Shaheed Divas reminds us that because of whom we are living safe life and breathing fresh air. On this patriotic and pure day let’s take pledge to salute the values for which they sacrificed their happiness, needs, family and even their Life.
